Meet Suzy Thompson, MD

Dr. Suzy Thompson joined Katz Pediatrics in March, 2024.

Dr. Thompson was born in Indonesia, where her father was doing work for the State

Department. She moved to the U.S. with her parents when she was nine months old

and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland .

Dr. Thompson attended UNC Chapel Hill for both undergraduate and medical school.

She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in D.C.

After residency, she moved to San Francisco where she worked as a staff attending

at UCSF. After having her twin boys in San Francisco, she relocated to Virginia to be

closer to friends and family. When her twins left for college, she decided to pursue

her dream to live by the beach and relocated to Florida!

When not working, Dr. Thompson loves to spend time with her partner Michael and

stepson Caleb, and enjoys an active lifestyle of surfing, skiing, and yoga. She also

enjoys reading, and cooking for friends and family.
